Your First Visit to Our Regent Square Practice

On your first visit, our goal is to find out whether or not we can help you. If we can, we'll tell you. If we cannot, we'll tell you too. Also, we will determine whether or not we need to order any additional imaging procedures (CAT scan, x-rays, MRI).
We will have you fill out some paperwork so please come prepared (if you need reading glasses, it's a good idea to bring them). We ask that you thoroughly read all the forms and ask any questions you may have before signing them. Your questions help us help you.
After the paperwork is done (usually takes between 10 and 15 minutes unless you have a complicated medical history), the doctor will take you back for your examination. This will include an evaluation of your posture, ranges of motion, palpation of your spine and a discussion of pertinent case history. We'll ask questions about your health and any conditions you may be experiencing. These questions help us help you so please remember to be thorough in your answers. Sometimes the smallest details make the biggest difference.
Once your exam is conducted, the examining doctor will conduct a report of findings. This will tell you if we will be able to help you, what's wrong, what needs to be done, how long it will take and how much it will cost. EVERYTHING will be answered.
Plan to spend an hour at your first visit. We want to be sure you understand everything and thus dissolve any hesitations, uncertainties, or qualms you may have about starting chiropractic care.
The doctor will then give you a moment to read and sign the informed consent to chiropractic care form and then adjust you as necessary. If you are in moderate to severe pain, the doctor may order therapies to be administered in the office. This could include EMS (electric muscle stimulation), therapeutic ultrasound, therapeutic cold laser, hot/cold therapy, or soft tissue mobilization (ART, TrT, PNF muscle stretching).
Getting adjusted and having therapies done could take an additional half hour. If time is an issue, please advise us when you schedule so we can accommodate you accordingly. We pride ourselves on the quality of care we provide our patients and refuse to rush through any part of your visit.
